On Thursday 21 May, the Commission will hold a ceremonial closing hearing in Brisbane for the Commission of Inquiry into Child Safety System.
Following 11 months of deep investigation and analysis, the ceremonial closing hearing will provide an opportunity for the Commissioner and Senior Counsel Assisting to provide an overview of how the Commission conducted its work, including key themes that have emerged and the direction of the final report.
The ceremonial closing hearing will not hear any new evidence from witnesses or discuss the Commissioner’s findings and recommendations.
The ceremonial closing hearing will commence at 10am on Thursday 21 May 2026.
